Do you love sharing your food knowledge?

We host a variety of workshops & classes on Sunday, Monday & Tuesday evenings.

Our Cooking Classes are for small groups up to 12 people and have covered a vast range of culinary topics, from vegan cheese making to whole animal butchery. Regular classes are typically scheduled on Sunday night; if it sells out, we can run a 2nd class on Monday night, and if that also sells out, a 3rd on Tuesday. Instructors can leave their ingredients, etc. at The Dep from one day to the next. The Dep also recently introduced a new Lunch & Learn series; these run are 10am-1pm on Mondays.

Regular Cooking Class and Lunch & Learn tickets are usually $60 (occasional exceptions are made for special classes); The Dep pays $30 per person up to 12 participants, for a total of $360, for labour and ingredients. Our kitchen is usually available from around 3:30 pm to prepare; classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and run for between 2.5-3 hours.

Master Class workshops run on Friday nights. These are “extra special” workshops run by recognized experts in their field. The Dep pays $45 per person up to 12 participants (hands-on) or 16 participants (demo), for labour and ingredients. Our kitchen is usually available from around 3:30 pm to prepare; classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and run for between 2.5-3 hours.

Full-day workshops, run occasionally on holiday Mondays or at Offsite locations. The Dep pays $60 per person up to 12 participants, for a total of $720, for labour and ingredients. Our kitchen is usually available from around 8:30 am to prepare; classes begin at 10am, run for between 5-6 hours and include a lunch.

If your workshop has especially high ingredients or materials costs, let me know and we can discuss adding a special supplemental materials fee.

We also offer Private Workshops for small groups 8-16 people, as a creative team-building activity or a unique celebration.
